VIN number questions...

I just went out and got my VIN number off the drivers side door plate, and the windshield... came back in and got on http://www.benzworld.org/modelguide.html and it says my car was manufactured in '02 and is a gasser... Now I'm REALLY confused, the VIN I wrote down is WDBCB20A9DB048472... I just went out to double check, popped the hood and wrote down the one stamped by the battery, which is WDB12612012048472... What am I missing? Am I putting it in the wrong site?

Thanks! Much better, I'd done a forum search, but I guess I didn't put the right keywords in... Thanks again

The benzworld decoder says my SDL is a gasser too, from 1977... sounds broken to me.
