240D Injector Hardlines

My Euro 240D has a cracked #4 injector line coupling. Sprays fuel all over the place. I drove home from work with a towel wrapped around it.

This car has the Euro pump with the wierd style delivery valves. The question is, will the injector hardlines from a North American 240D fit on a car with the Euro pump? The threads, length, and shape would have to be the same.

Anybody know for sure?

I'm not sure about the lines, but I know of a junk yard that has a 115 240 that has that early style pump on it. The lines might work from that if you need a replacement.

Euro 240D??

I had a 115 240D, and I'm pretty sure it had the regular style delivery valves on it.

No, the US model MW-pump lines will not fit the euro model M-Pump.

Are the fittings different or just the shape of the lines?

I think it is not verry common on 616 or 617's.

This one, with the Euro pump, has the rubber delivery valve seals. When the ULSD hit, they all barfed, so we had the hardlines off several times before we got all the leaks stopped. I probably overtightened it somewhere along the way.

Some of the larger Diesel Fuel Injection shops will make Hard Lines up for you. You most often have to bend they your self though. Also they may be able to reuse the same nuts that you have on your old Hard Line.

I wondered about that. Pretty good Bosch shop nearby, and a friend of mine works there. Will give him a call. Thanks
