Where to buy boost gauge

Hey folks,

Where do you buy your boost/pressure gauges? I just want one to use for adjusting the boost. Don't want to mount it permanently. Would like one with various adapters. I tried Pep Boys and Auto Zone. No luck. Tried Sears and the salesperson damn near blew a brain gasket while I was trying to explain what I wanted. Ended up piecing one together for about 15 bucks but the gauge goes from 0-160 psi and I don't feel like it will be accurate at the low end of the spectrum

TIA

Matt

I went the cheapo route and ordered mine from JC Whitney. Haven't got it yet, but I'll let you know.

I ordered mine(2") from JC Whitney too. Hopefully, I can get it today. Do a seach on "gauges" at yahoo-shopping-automotive, you'll find a bunch of them.

The JC Whitney deal works great. Delivered for $23. Just about everything you need for install. I ran a few lines for power to the light and bought a mount bracket at Advance Auto. I'm good to go.

Look in the phone book for an auto performance shop. They should be able to set you up with a VDO or Autometer boost gauge. There are a few Japanese brands as well. I can't say that having a known brand such as VDO means better quality than you get from JC Whitney, but it probably means more money.
