Transmission grabbing at idle when hot ( 1989 300d) ?
I recently purchased a 1989 300D and have trying to diagnose this problem .
After the vehicle is driven for long periods, the transmission TC (or something) seems to be partially engaged at at idle at when stopped at stop signs etc sign etc. This is somewhat intermittent but is does happened frequently . The car shakes and pulls slightly . There is no shaking in neutral . Any ideas ? - Thanks Last edited by rkpatt; 10-11-2008 at 12:39 PM. |

Check the linkages and bowden cable, might be out of adjustment causing it to engage slightly in the idle position....
