Thanksgiving project

So, tomorrow is thanksgiving in Canada. While our turkey cooks and the house is peaceful, I'm thinking about pulling my cruise amp and inspecting it and maybe resoldering it. I've read over most of the cruise control threads here and feel pretty well prepared for the job.

Right now, cruise does nothing on my car at all. The actuator linkages all seem to move smoothly (by hand) so I don't want to immediately suspect that it is the actuator's fault. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, so I hope that this should be a simple fix. Mostly I am just curious if anyone has any good tips I should be aware of before I start. I'm hoping that I can't really make it much worse that it already is!

Thanks in advance!
