1983 300SD - Diesel leak first two injectors
In my recently purchased 300SD, there is diesel fuel starting about half way down the first two injectors and moistening the whole area below these two, but the other injector areas are perfectly dry. I replaced all of the fuel-return lines with brand new lines, but the wet fuel remains. What causes this? I haven't touched the injectors themselves. Do they sometimes start leaking where they are screwed into the engine?
Thanks for any help, |

Also make sure the fuel return connectors did not get nicked. They will leak if they have even the tiniest gouge.

Might be easiest to check the nut on the metal return line to see if they are loose first; then pull the inj if that doesnt stop the leak. If you pull the inj's you "should" get a new heat sheild too.
