I've two. One has a nice body with a bad engine and I have a replacement engine. The other needs body work, and may end up my winter bomb.

plus, I know of three deloreans sitting right now... one the guy wants waaaay too much for a pile of crap, the other is painted, and one is supposedly in a field. Plus my other one I dragged home from a junkyard with eagle co to make some money off of with him

Here's a bricklin nearby that's 6k with working A/C and everything, and it's at a dealer. Cool car but with an ugly interior.

eck... so ugly... Mechanically they are great. Either a ford or AMC V8 and you can get those parts at Napa. But the body and everything else... forget it

Lean on the fender to work on the car -CRACK- you cracked the plastic body

Doors go up -psssstt- air leak - slam- have fun getting out to go to the hospital to get your arm set in a cast

and the nightmare of everything else that is a bricklin...

The bumper looks like an 8-track cassette inserted into the rear.

The hydraulic doors weigh 100 pounds each... Good luck having the windows work too, since they are power. Or good luck having anything else work as well. I looked at the Bricklin brochure, apparently that color is "Safety Suntan"

I don't think hydraulic doors are that safe, in say, an electrical fire which is likely. Also, the v8's produce around 175 HP, well, it's better than a PRV anyday.

I have a Euro turbo 5 speed.....they are rare and I am quite lucky to have one of these. My uncle in Germany gave it to me after he bought a 600SL.

I used to love the way Bricklins looked. After reading all of your coments, I'm thankful I never had the money and/or opportunity to buy one.

+1. Took me more than six months to find my wagon and unfortunately it doesn't qualify for the cheap wagon club. And I wasn't even that picky, just wanted something that looked nice, up to date on all maintenance, and had all service records.

Used to be my dream car. I saw one on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley once. Would still love to find one.
