1982 240D engine vs. 1977 ?

I have a 1982 240D that has some lower end problems....1 bad cylinder unfortunately. I have found a good used 1977 240 engine in a parts car & was wondering what differences there are between the 1982 and the 1977 engines. I was thinking of taking my head, injectors, etc (top end) and possibly mating them with the 1977 block.

Are there possibly any problems with doing that ?

Thanks in advance,

Brian
