83 300SD cold feet

I need some diagnosis help here for my CCU system. The blower motor works on all speeds. The passenger side has hot air blowing to feet, but the driver's side does not. I pulled vacuum on the foot pod for the floor vent and it held vacuum and moved the flap door. According to the schematic, this pod and arm controls the flap doors to both driver's and passenger's feet, so why would I only have heat on one side?

Thanks for any advice.

John

Classic problem, the arm that opens the drivers side vent flap has come off one of the joints.
I, like others I understand, have propped open the door, so now you have air coming all the time through that vent, and heat too when called for.
Remove the kick panel, follow the opening near the center, you'll see it. Note that near the center console you have a plastic 90 degree screw.
