83 300sd. Fuse #11 Melting. Heater Does not work

Any ideas? The clip melted into the plastic. The fuse was ok though... swapped it just in case and cleaned the clip and it still doesn't work. any ideas? Common problem?

Auxiliary pump wearing out is a possible cause but check also the blower motor and monovalve.

There's an MB fix that consists of a 30A strip fuse housed outside the main fusebox -

A/C fuse melts...85 300SD

buy fuses that are ceramic, not plastic.
