1995 E300D Fuel tank size
Even with the power of Google, I am having a hard time finding out the fuel tank capacity of a 1995 E300D.

Here ya go...
As per my owner's manual - 18.5 gallons, including a reserve of 2.4 gallons.

This is why I ask, there is conflicting information out there. I thought the Diesel had a 90 L tank (23 gallons)?

Its a 23.8 gallon tank, unique to the diesel 124 of 1995 only. All others, gas and diesel, had the run of the mill 18.5.

I might add, the 500E had the 23.8 gallon tank as well...

Why is Kaiser Soze changing the 70L tank in his 95 to a 90L tank then???

Same as the OP 95 W124 w/606.910.

I got my info from edmunds.com.

I also have the original mercedes benz brochure for the 1995 e-class. I know the 95 E300 has the 23.8 g tank, that is how they bolstered there ad campaign back then for "over 600 miles/tank".

Perhaps it was standard issue on the USA spec diesels of that vintage.
