1967 Fintail 200D Is finally running correctly for first time in 28 years.

So the 67 200 D I bought awhile back that didn't run, then I got it running and discovered that it had a shot rod bearing. After talking to the previous owner he told me that it let go in 80.
So after spending alot of time figuring out options a 67 200D showed up at one of the salvage yards here in town. So I go get the engine and it sits in my garage for 8 months. Well last Monday I decided what the hell! And I pulled the dead engine out and put the salvage yard engine in, started it up and runs great!!!!
Finally it truely is alive!!!

Just had to tell.

Cheers
-Cary

Congrats on breathing new life into an old classic. Finding the salvage yard prize was a definite bonus.

Ok I promise I will post some pictures and even a video of it going. I pulled the injectors out today to have my diesel guy check them. Then engine has been sitting for many years so who knows about the injectors, so we will see

Cheers
