300SDL Knocking

My father's 300SDL knocks when is cold even with all glow plug change and injector change, when its warmed up (81*C) is still knocks, but (here is the twist) when driven a long time like highway or in town for 20 min, the sound Magically disappear and will never appear until the next day (overnight), what could be the problem...

Other note
no blow by
glow plug just changed
Replaced Injector Pop tested and is ok...

Might it be lifter tap? Is he running synthetic oil?

Did you check the Heim ends of the belt tensioner shock?

Here's a thought - it may not fix it, but it's cheap and may - if not, then start spending money. If he's not already using RedLine Diesel Fuel Catalyst, pick up a bottle (most Pep Boys, etc carry it). Dump one full botle in with a tank or less of fuel and drive it a while - the hammering may go away - if it does, then use it thereafter following the instructions on the bottle (one bottle treats 100 gal diesel). Also, if it smokes on acceleration, it will stop the smoking after a few tanks. We've used it in both our diesels since new - neither car smokes even on heavy acceleration.

Is it a lifter tap or injection knock? Try losening the hard lines one at a time and seeing if you can't isolate the cylinder.

Ok so we just cracked the injectors, and is seems that injector 2 near the oil filler cap When open stop that knock, but when we open the 6th the one toward the fire wall, another clack stopped, they were all shooting fuel and some bubbles, i guess i should do a pop test on those two injectors, b4 digging deep

First swap them out with cylinder 1 and 2. See if the knock follows them. If it does than you know its the injectors for sure.

Try doing a diesel purge first. Then if the injectors are still nailing, Take them out and soak them in B100. The BioDiesel might loosen up the carbon.
