Closer to me (So. San Jose), he claims 200K on the engine and the tranny new. I'll need to look at documentation carefully of course.

The lost and lamented Brian Carlson tells me elsewhere that the 300SDL is realistically good for 400K. I might be crazy to consider buying a 300k rig (the other one, near LA) Then again, it is a one family car. 320 miles is a long ways to go for a test drive however.

Has a few minor issues but overall is solid so far.

I accidentally found a down-loadable repair manual for the '87 300 SDL. I recall my previous difficulty finding a good manual for the 126. Has anybody used this one?
