1992 300D how to install and adjust a vacuum control valve (VCV)

The vacuum hose broke on the side of the VCV. My new one will arrive today and I need some pointers on installing/adjusting?

Thanks in advance!

If your vcv is the same as on the om603 you may want to look at this thread Vac line and rubber 90 deg. fitting off of Vac Control Valve---how critical is it? before you replace... if it just that 90 degree fitting on the side i posted pic on that thread the 90 degree fitting can be replaced easy if it is the same on yours..
