Help-Fuel Return

Does anyone have any idea of how much fuel is returned to the tank versus how much fuel goes thru the injectors???? I am trying to decide if I should let the diesel fuel return to the veggie oil tank(dual tank system) and I would only use one return line versus two... all ideas and help will be appreciated... Jim

Jim,

I've never measured but there's a good return flow at idle. Disconnect the cigar hose and see how quickly it fills a cup (8 oz). I'd guess 30-60 seconds.

Disconnect your return hose and run it into a suitable container. I suspect that you will be shocked at the result. At idle, the return ratio must be 20:1.

you will drain the diesel tank in no time if you do a cross return like tha. dont ask.

you can run a looped system and only have one return line. usually peeps like to return on diesel.
