Get rid of those ill-designed components!
You can keep screwing around with it, or you can do what I did and replace the mono (or servo) valve with a $6 manual valve from the plumbing aisle at Home Depot. I also did an aux-pump-ectomy,...........removed that little bastard. I had 100% reliable heat all last winter. In May I just close the valve until October.
I know purists will flame me but I don't think they can argue that it works, and is extremely simple to troubleshoot.

... that won't work for the evil servo... it controls the fan, the vacuum, and tons of other things... including the blower... major surgery to bypass this sucker.

w126 heater.
I've looked at all past post and cannot find my problem.
I can press any buttons that direct heat, and it will stay in defrost mode. However summer driving with temp wheel in blue area,I get center vents, and can hear a door flap open or close. Any way to wire floor flap open? Or is it the complete controller that needs sodder. Thank You in advance. I'm taking my meds. today hahhaa |
