Alternator bracket woes 300D
I'm trying to remove the bolt from the bracket that supports the adjusting bracket. The adjusting bracket is broken and came off leaving the retaining bolt seized in place. I've tried heat from a propane torch,WD40,more heat, tapping and twisting . I really don't want to break the bolt anymore,or remove the rad . Any ideas?

woes begone!!
The fix was simple all that I had to do was join the shop forum and give the WD40 some time to work. This looks like it will be a valuable wealth of info!!

Next time you get a frozen bolt or nut try one of the name brand penitrating oil's instead of WD 40
WD stands for water displacer and though it is used as a penitrating oil by many people I have found that regular penitrating oil works much better.... William Rogers.... |
