"Cam phasing" should never be done DIY. You're fooling yourself if you think you can tune the pump better than a $100,000 calibration bench.

The test bench needed to properly calibrate an injection pump.

Ear/Eyeball adjusting IP DV flow rates
FI is Soooooo correct!
The Gentleman in the Video is performing the one Big NO NO on his Injection Pump. He loosened the 8 locknuts on his Delivery Valve Barrels(and proceeded to Totally FU his pump),then you see him "ADJUSTING" the Flow Rates by "Who knows what Criteria"! You can Scorch Pistons doing this! Along with a whole host of other nasty consequences. I've heard an Urban Rumor that some individuals have started using this stupid adjustment method in conjunction with the "Mili-Volt Glow Plug Monitoring". I promise you that if you (Or anyone else not of the Supreme Being genre) could use this method ALL THE DIESEL "SERVICE STATIONS" WOULD TOO! Call up ANY one who services Diesel Injection Pumps and tell them you're considering using this method to "Adjust" your pump...Stand by for a rather LOUD Telephonic Lesson.
