Drives me crazy. The ignorance. Veg oil can be run if done right, usually isn't.

Sold some parts to a woman recently that has an 83 300SD thats pretty nice, her husband has the same car but nicer. I asked if she runs veg oil, she told me they were going to be just running it in the summer so they don't have to do a conversion. Thats the kind of ignorance that kills our poor cars.

Rust turns them into parts cars up here. Down in the rust free areas the grease guys seem to be doing a pretty good job.

Makes the cars that are still around more valuable.

Down here the sun destroys all the plastic/vinyl parts as well as paint & carpets. Too bad we couldn't pool resources, northern interiors with southern bodies.

speaking of N vs. S

my upstate NY snow belt 240D is crying for help. in neeed of a kidney donor, but only southern cars would be a match.

i've got an amazing running 79 with ???,??? on the clock. its the orig engine & tranny. odo malfunctioned about 240K. which was before i purchased . but i'm hooked on its 4speed


if someone could look out for a decent shell. it would be great.
