Not exactly designed, it/she was actually created by Rikker to be his perfect companion. But later was used by the Bynars to distract Rikker and Picard.

Who would of thought so many Star Trek fans would come out of the woodwork?

They really need to make a new series after the movie, which is sure to be a blockbuster.

That pic is a keeper, and is awesome!!! From one Star Trek nerd to another I really appreciate that one.

I like two of the selections. First, I think The Excelsior is very appropriate as it represents a move from the older Constitution Class [reliable] to the Excelsior-class. In a VERY nerdy Star Trek kind of way, it really is an awesome metaphor for the move from W123 to W124. The provided clip was perfect!
I would not be opposed to Janeway either, but Catherine wouldn't do much for me. She was not a Catherine but a Janeway!!
It is a question of what "fits". Names cannot be forced. That is why my flagship vehicle is still just "The white wagon". Nothing ever fit and The white wagon simply became it's moniker.

Most importantly, I just want to congratulate Colin on a fine wagon that he will now enjoy and own! And congrats to Tyler for getting to experience yet another chassis and powerplant. Enjoying these cars is kinda what we do.....
The only thing missing were the appropriate faces in the pic.

So many cars...so little time (and money ).
johnathan --- Tyler is catching us; time to buy another one. Of course, I bought my first one in March, 2007. I'm not one of those old farts that bought their first one 20 years ago.

Ol' Norm is a handsome fellow, but that new wagon looks pretty sweet, too. I hope this will be a long, loving relationship.

I agree with you, Tyler, I don't like that Hyundai either.

Well, all the Star Trek trivia went right over my head.

Looks like a nice addition, Tyler. Ol' Norm was a looker. I'm kinda biased though, since I don't have a Benz for a daily driver and all of the 123 (and prior) "deficiencies" are exactly what draws me to them.

Good luck! I look forward to your updates/upgrades. You definitely do things the right way IMO.

That's a nice looking W124 wagon; you did just fine with that acquisition! Now, what are you going to do with those 8-hole rims? I need a set...

Resistance is futile... New Benz technology will be assimilated into the collective that is Tyler's driveway...

Here you are with your Star Fleet buddies:

Maybe you should call the car "Leila" after Spock's fling in "This Side of Paradise" when he lost his logical self. Then you could also you the Clapton song when appropriate.

Here you are with Leila checking your forum messages on your cell:
