The sway bar on these benzes locates the top of the upright which supports the hub, so there is considerable stress put on it beyond what a simple sway bar only would have. It needs a proper connection which means a good weld prepared for correctly.

That's why I took it to it to a good welder to have the install done

Nice repair! Did you coat it with a decent paint? Also you might consider drilling a hole in the side of the socket and fill it with weld to spread the stress out some. It could still be done. Also a small open hole in the bottom might prevent moisture from building up in the joint.

Now get going on the body while you still have one.
