Service Manual '98 E300 TD

As I am doing more and more DIY projects on my car, I was thinking of purchasing the official service manual. I found the following link but I also see many manuals on ebay which claim to cover a ton of models for very cheap. Like 15 bucks. I figure they are garbage or not the official manual. Does anyone know what is the proper one to buy for the W210. Specifically for me a 1998 E300 Turbo Diesel.
Here's the link: http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/1996_2003_Mercedes_Benz_210_Chassis_Factory_Manu_p/p270021005.htm

Is this the proper thing to buy or are the ones on ebay just as good? Any other suggestions are welcome.

-Mike

I bought a FSM for my 84 from Mercedesmanuals at a cost of $53 and later found that the same from direct from Mercedes cost $19.99+$7. Since Mrecedesmanuals tells you they are selling licensed copies this tells you that Mercedes itself must also be selling them and probably at a much cheaper price than Mercedesmanuals. It would be worth it to take the time and find out where you can get them direct from Mercedes.

My internet manual experience was that I lost $11 in total as Ebay forbade the seller from selling them as he was violating the copyright. Of course I was never contacted by the seller after that.

Desperate for information I took a chance and bought another CD manual on Ebay that turned out to be a licensed copy of a Mitchell manual and it is OK but is very bare bones as far as information goes but does cover other models besides 123s and even 2 makes of car.

Others have reported getting inoperative or barely operative CDs or outright rip-offs. So if you buy an Ebay CD remember you are taking a chance and keep your expectations low.

Link above leads to page at same company linked below.

Has anyone dealt with this company? Their pre sale support sucks.

I am considering this product but fear it may be a disappointment, and I get no service upfront, what do I expect AFTER the sale?

Finally a great thread title. Not another that is generic like "comment" or "help", or "Mercedes Question".

The ebay CD ROM's are bootlegs of the WIS/ASTRA and they cover all models within certain years.

The forum owners are VERY touchy about even discussing bootleg stuff so I'm simply stating what it is.
