I can't figure out which year car you mean from your sig – I have several 240D schematics in the late-70s early-80s in my factory body/chassis manual, volume 2 (published 1982).

lol, my current car is the 83 mercedes 240d 4 speed. I have a chiltons and it doesnt have any diagrams in it (they had a paragraph that explained because they were too many pages and crap).

1981 240d (engine donor 1983 240d) recently rebuilt engine hurray! - No more.. fought a tree and the tree won.

pearl black 1983 240d 4speed (Converted!@$$%) atleast the tranny was rebuilt.

I figured that was the one being sold, no?

My FSM covers 1978-79 240D in one diagram and 1980 240D in another. The later (1980) diagram shows the 240D having a turn signal switch (SPST) as part of the combination switch and a "warning flasher switch/timer" controlled by the combination switch. That sounds like the turn signal relay and the 4-way flashers are one unit. I don't see any other units that would be part of turn signals or flashers.
