I think so,It has protective insulation,as it lays over valve cover.

Okay. Do you have any brown/white wires connected to your glow plug timer? Or, better yet, do you have continuity between the temp switch wire and any wire that is connected to the timer?

No its a single black wire,that come off wiring to glowplugs.The plug cap comes open to resolder wire to pin.

Okay, if you remove the connector, do you have continuity to ground through the switch when the engine is cold?
