should i just go to the stealership?

because the one here (Ross Motorcars) gave us the first scratch.
and... I have to go to MB of West Chester's body shop to have something repaired...
and generally we deal with MB of cinci for service problems... but jesus. lol

so...

got this nice little warning about my right low beam today :( booooo.
and my horn sounds like it belongs in a bike shop. ugh.

why me!?

headlights (std. projector) on the 06 E320... anyone have to replace one???

TylerH860 12-05-2008 07:18 PM

Is it still under warranty?

matthias08 12-05-2008 07:21 PM

yessir. till 100K :) thats the good thing with buying CPO :)

will they cover the light???

they have started covering everything else under the sun! :P

TylerH860 12-05-2008 07:24 PM

With my BMW, they even covered the windshield wiper blades.:D Wish I bought the extended warranty, oh well, now its sold. I don't know on the Mercedes, but I would assume bumper to bumper means bumper to bumper. (except for tires)

matthias08 12-05-2008 07:25 PM

haha. i hope so. I just hope the PANO doesn't stick open one day! :O

TylerH860 12-05-2008 07:29 PM

I remember reading an article about a Mercedes owner rolling their Pano roof E55 while racing, and it didn't crack.

matthias08 12-05-2008 08:57 PM

i'm not worrying about cracking... I'm just worried about suddenly not functioning... like... while driving through the yukon or something. ya know?

79Mercy 12-05-2008 09:07 PM

No, lights arent covered under the warrenty.

matthias08 12-05-2008 09:14 PM

well... the 3rd brake light was...

it was being fuzzy... and i got pissed. they fixed it. :)

matthias08 12-05-2008 09:30 PM

so... I found out that its an H7 Bulb. I'll do it myself in the morning. umph. its freaking 20 degrees... i have better things to do when its like this...

some dealerships will take care of "safety" items even if they aren't technically under warranty. My VW had some lights and airbag issues that they took care of after the 36 mo.

matthias08 12-06-2008 03:42 PM

$30 later and some "cool blue" both bulbs are changed. looks kinda hot... now i just need to change the accent lights in the HIGHs from clear to blue :)

capri blue, with lots of blue blue and blue

soon to be changed out are the center caps... I'm taking the blue and silver ones from the SLK's origional wheels and throwing them on the CDI... I really wanna find some nice E500 Sport. or the old E430AMG wheels :)

TylerH860 12-06-2008 03:49 PM

Are you staking your claim on the CDI? It already has a Pano roof, so no need to chop into it for a cloth one.:P

Luckily, I was the only grandkid who wanted to be seen in that "jalopy" as they would call it, so grandma gave me the SL. She gave each of us HUGE gifts on our 16th birthdays. My cousins got a Saturn SL2 and Chevy Cavalier. My sister got a very expensive computer.

Who do you think came out the best 6 years later?:D Since grandmother wasn't spending any money giving me the car, she also took me on a trip to Alaska. :D I love her...

matthias08 12-06-2008 03:55 PM

meh... I claimed it a while ago... lol... since my 240D sits there looking stupid i need something do drive. mom can't drive in snow for the life of her. so she has the GL out around... so told me she's out iceskating w/ airbags... in a GL! how does that happen? dads out in the E conv today... his CDI doesn't have seat heat but moms drop top does! HAHAHA

matthias08 12-06-2008 08:36 PM

okay so this $#&@(%*#$@ E320CDI

has managed to burn through another light... same side. its going in... I'll update what the hell it was!
