An exciting day for "Dragon" my wagon

Christmas came early for me this year. Two things arrived for Dragon today.

I'm just waiting for my wife to get home with the camera so I can post pics.

I'll be back in a bit.

Nice on the 3rd row too as it appears you got all the necessary items to make it work! You know, you should probably make a pictorial on the whole conversion process from start to finish.
Nice Christmas already there Chad......

I don't think there was any more room for the extra T anyway. Didn't Frank the Tank name his Trans-Am "The Red Dragon" too?

nice-

the only question I have on the third seat is how do the headrests fit in the existing seats?

looks like a good weekend project, congrats.

Looks like it made it there OK, I was nervous about the side panels. Packing could have been better. Sure was a pain in the nads, but it was worth it knowing it was going to a member who would appreciate it.

Santa is helping me upgrade away from my 12 year old oil less air compressor! May even be a 7.5 hp Ingersoll Rand, or I might just build one.

Wish I had taken more pictures of the whole process to help make it less of a puzzle. Life is rather Hectic most of the time around here....

Merry Christmas!

installation.....

You know I pulled a Palomino 3rd row seat earlier this summer and sold it to a guy up in Eastern TN......He also got the 2nd row split seat and a front row seat. I took a lot of pics.......the tricky part is locating the place to screw the top bolt in for the shoulder harness seat belt. Oh, and positioning the rollup retracting thingy behind the side panel.

If you get stuck, give me shout. I might be able to talk you thru something.

My exemption on the screen name is due to my promise to use it as a reminder of Jimmy's tutelage. I'll take pics of everything as I go and write it up the best I can.

That's funny. I hope I don't do anything else like "Frank the Tank". My wife wouldn't understand any drunken "streaking".

Cool vanity plate choice BTW.

Thanks Mo. I wasn't thinking about the tracks in the 60/40 seats when I was going back and forth with Dave. I'll have to see if I can get them.

Thanks to you, Christmas is ALREADY merry.

So, how much do you want for your 60/40 seats? Are you able to strip out the hardware and the plastic caps and just ship those to save on weight? Do you even want to part with them?

Let me know.

Thanks again.

Well I ordered some SEM Color Coat Vinyl Paint in Palomino and used the SEM Vinyl Prep to clean the vinyl first.

I tested one of the head rests today and I am VERY impressed. The color is super close to the rest of my interior. I am shocked at how quickly this stuff dries and it doesn't affect the vinyl grain at all.

I plan to eventually recolor the whole interior with this stuff since the wagon suffers from Pinkamino.

Here's a finished head rest next to one I still need to clean and color. The one I painted already was in the worst condition dirt and color wise.

Uncolored:

That's astounding, Chad. I thought the Red Dragon looked pretty good already. It's really going to be nice once you've finished the upholstery.

Thanks guys.

My MIL is here watching my kids today. I was so excited by the results of the SEM Color Coat that I bored her with a detailed explanation and side by side comparison.

She's a good sport and acted very impressed.
