I'm the same age as Norm and Tyler put together.........If Norm was born in the second half of the model year.

And regarding texting.....I got an email on Friday from our "phone plan administrator" advising me that I had exceeded my plan texting minutes the past 3 months. Last month, I was almost double my plan.

Colin bought the car knowing he would have to deal with the climate control issues. I don't think he's doing it himself, either.

Did you make it up to 110 like you did when you drove Zippy?

He didn't get it up to that speed, but there weren't many of the 67 horse power that he left on the table......

I bought the car knowing of every issue Norm had that Tyler could disclose, and know that there will potentially be issues in the future. But as you know, I still bought the car! He's been awesome, I love driving Norm! And he really hasn't "broken down", but rather slightly come apart, haha. I didn't spend any money or much time fixing him, no harm no foul.

No, I'm not installing that servo myself. I'm having it done by my trusty mechanic, he knows what he is doing. Too much of a headache for me. Plus it's been nice here, so I just roll the window down.

Yea, I was surprised you bought it after he told you about the cracked head. Oh well, only an issue during the summer......

See, I was honest with Colin about the patched head. I'm sure you failed to disclose your primary motivation for selling...

You took a black light to the interior...

Congrats on the sell, and Congrats to the new owner ----

So a question to the 'wise men' of this forum: How does one go about selling a W123 these days? I listed mine in the classified section, and yes I admit-I priced it way high....but as we all know, you can always come down, but you can never go up!

I'm wanting and needing to sell mine - so...what's the secret to actually making this happen?

Looking for advice---

I just checked out your ad and it's a very nice car and appears to be worth your asking price. The problem is that on this forum, everyone is used to getting better deals. For instance, I paid $3500 for my CD and I'm one of the higher paying w123 owners. As nice as your car is, it would be great to see another forum member buy it and take care of it, but you'll probably get the best sale price for it by touting its WVO capabilities on Ebay and CL.

I would say that you'll have a far better chance of selling here if you go crazy with quality pictures showing all the areas we'd look at in an "in-person" inspection. Some guys have even put up videos on Youtube that show the vehicle cold starting and idling.

Well anyway, good luck, it's a beautiful car.

Squash is running fantastic and would like to think Jimmy for everything. clocked almost 350 miles w/o a problem. the manual transmission is a blast to drive with more get up'n go than my old 1977 300d did. i've got a few simple modifications to do and will post pictures soon.
