Have to set this discussion aside until such time as I can get my transmission to work properly....A/C issue now takes a backseat to actually getting the car to move and operate......will return to this discussion issue once the other problem is resolved. thanks one and all for the input.....this stuff is NOT easy...... |

It is not easy ...but it is more possible than most other cars. My 95 Lincoln has been sitting for weeks at the dealership with them attempting to start it twice per hour... unfortunately it starts everytime... thus they can not diagnose the NON start issue it has..even though we have paid $550 for new fuel pump and $350 for new lighting module and $200 plus for towing.... Then they called and asked if we wanted to pay $140 for a new crank position indicator CONNECTOR .. which they would not promise would fix the problem we already paid them to fix.
Being at the mercy of computers and connectors...which the Ford TSB on the connectors came out two years after the car was made... 1997... is much worse than this ' not easy' stuff.... and I am not saying it is easy... but relatively has some advantages in usually being mechanical as opposed to non home serviceable computer related or phantom electrical which should have been corrected long ago by the dealerships. |
