Only tasteful and fairly conservative mods for the most part but lets see if I qualify:
1984 190D in Astral Silver Exterior: - Black, gloss painted grill - Euro Lights (A must) - Upgraded brakes with Bundt wheels (a mod for a w201 :P ) - Chrome exhaust tip Interior: - More wood trim in 3.2 AMG style - AutoPC installation for Voice recognition and integrated GPS into the headunit - Integrated iPod into armrest link - Euro style Velour door panels - Keyless Entry - Wooden shifter knob (in the next week or so) |
Do hazard warning triangles and AMG Pentas count?

my post hath been removed.. You shall rue the day you attempt to best the OBK!

Nice link and mods. Your rims look very nice!

I upgraded my 1985 300TD with 1st generation w126 rotors and calipers and added keyless entry.
RESULTS: No brake fading and my lock tumblers never get used anymore.:D I also did appearance mods like the blacked out grill and headlight fins. I'm currently adding a third row seat and I also support Fastlane AND AllPartsExpress.;) EDIT: I forgot to mention that I replaced the sound system, all speakers, added a subwoofer in the spare tire cover and an amp where the first aid kit used to be. I guess that's as "ricer" of a mod I've done. |

OK chief, here are my extensive and very technical mods:
1st- we have hubbies on the '85 wagon http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...5/P6030325.jpg My results are that I don't have to look at Bundts! 2nd- we have a rather cheesy and extended-temporary boost gauge http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...85Stuff123.jpg My results are an almost unsafe fascination with watching the boost gauge under different types of driving. 3rd- We have the blackening of the grill insert. [China and the white wagon] http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...D/China248.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...85Stuff187.jpg My results are not having to look at the horrible faded and chalky grill insert. 4th- we have the added horsepower of the passenger side mirror on China http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...D/China175.jpg My results are that objects are not closer than they appear 5th- [and most important] We have the added console cup holder!!! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...D/China223.jpg This is China's above http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...85Stuff120.jpg You can just see a portion of the white wagon above http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...eSquash082.jpg [Squash and Smash have 'em too] No pic for Smash... :( [looks like all the others] My results are a secure place for my ever present coffee cup to ride, and a reduction in the use of my center arm rest! Your results may vary....... |

mods???
Hmmmm.......
I'll give this thread a go........ I ripped out the ricer single cd player deck. Replaced it with an authentic Mercedes Benz cassette deck. Even paid to get the code, so it would work. Worked numerous hours to get the bypassed fader switch to work. Installed a w126 clip and warning triangle. Replaced the original dash with period correct dash without cracks. Replace the driver's original seat with a black incorrect pattern seat from a 560SEL; to which was replace with a period correct seat pattern. Well? How have I done so far?:D |
I'm having a Hellfire mounted in the SDL's trunk to remove those left lane bandits with FL plates that drive everyone nuts!:D;)
