My 2 car garage is a wood shop most of the time and a mechanic's bay only when needed.

I use silicon spray or graphite lock lube.

I keep this in my pocket. It has a little tip on the end that you squirt into the lock. Works great and keeps it lubed up and water free for a few weeks. I used to keep it in my centre console until I realized how dumb that was.
