I'd do the OP's file, but I don't want to download software to be able to get to the file.

That would really be a shame. Don't do it. Heck, I'm not a fan of second gen W126 rims on W123s to begin with. If you must have black rims, go for some aftermarket rims. They'll look a lot better IMO.

Painting them black only makes it seem like you have caked on brake dust on your rims.

This one seems like the best- the first one seems like brake dust covered rims- the Jimmy version is like the a set of giant spiders took up residence on my tires (and don't forget the black hole sun). I do not like the bundt's- they a a brake dust magnet plus they are hard to clean. The look to me is not flattering. I much prefer the hubcaps or flat face rims.

I've seen this done on a black W124. It's the only acceptable way to paint the rims IMO. The outer lip keeps it from looking like ****.

I want to put these wheels on my wagon. 1998-2000 CLK 16":

EDIT: I like lefrisbee's version with the clean edge. Reminds me of an AMG wheel.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't like the 16 inch CLK rims.

Since I was bored:

EDIT: Thanks Chad. Now that you mention it, I do see the resemblance to the black AMG Aero IIs.
