seat removal
Well I worked on the '76 today and decided to NOT bring it back into original cond. ( it's not so great in the "rustfree" catagory) I am going to drive it for a while though. I need to remove the rear seat and can't figure it out. I have the bench part out, and reread the Haynes manual, but I don't think the instructions are for a W115 . There was NO nut under the arm rest to remove, or any evidence of one ever being here. I can't get the dang thing out! I want to give it to my friend and then make a nice shelf back there to sit my newspapers on. any help ? I did put new rear shocks on the car and adjusted the valves, and changed the oil. Runs great, and it should 92k original miles isn't that many! I will be looking for a good chassis to put the drivetrain into. ( I saw a nice black one on ebay last night) Forgot to mention...'76 300D w115, thanks for any and all help! Tom
