Yeah, it's a little funky, but you get used to it. My pop was worried about it too, I don't understand what the big deal is.

tranny help please!!!
I have changed T.C. fluid as well as filter,replaced fluid. Still cannot get out of 1st. gear. please help cuemike1

Well, I've gone ahead and bought ANOTHER transmission, one from an '81, so it'll properly fit (61 bucks on ebay, that's a steal!). Now, should I replace the synchro rings (which indeed are in need of replacement) and seals on the one I have now and try to sell it or keep as a spare, or should I just junk it?
