How do I remove the trim pictured below to transfer to my new quarter panel?

Im assuming it involves these clips...

Just gently pull the trim off.

Not as easy as it sounds if the trim has been aging in the sun all these years. Go to the local paint store and buy a couple of the cheap plastic putty knives. Use these as a wedge on either side of the red berries. You will probably need new red berries for the new panel. Being as careful as I could be, I broke one of those studs and ended up buying a new trim piece.

Thanks guys.

Do I need access to the rear of the new panel to install the trim piece?

Asked another way, can I go ahead and install the new fender without this trim piece on in case I need to order new trim clips?

I would think I could, it would be pretty ridiculous to need to take panel off to install a trim piece, but I want to make sure :-)

One near the end slide on in certain places, and has a small nut on the back. Not sure if those include the front fender that you are wishing to change, but do not blindly assume it's all push in red monkey kisters.

That only applies to the rear fender pieces.

google monkeys and you will see!

The prongy things are replacable too.

I put a little grease on the prongy things when I install the trim. The monkey *********s if old get brittle and don't work too well either.
