1984 300SD Trailing Arm
I thought I had a loose or blown driver side rear shock. What has happened is the shock has torn away from the trailing arm, where the shock mounts on the bottom. I am guessing that some one, at some point must have tried to jack the vehicle up there and torn the metal mounting plate and it finally pulled away. Does the entire trailing arm have to be replaced to fix this?

if it is not rusty, you may be able to get a good welder to fix it. but the cost would prolly be more than a used part. and then you can renew all the rubber back there while your at it.

I agree. It seems it would be easier to change it.
Thanks!

If you decide to replace and can't find one, send me a PM.
