One tail-light out...?
Well I'm fixing up all the little things on my new '79 300TD and picked up some replacement bulbs to put in.
The puzzling thing being that the passenger side tail-light doesn't come on, I put in a new bulb (the old one didn't look bad but I thought maybe its crapped out anyway) and it still won't light up. All the other bulbs light up on that side as well as the rest of the bulbs on the driver side. Seems like there is just one thick wrapped cord taking all the wires in to the bulb assembly, maybe the connection is off inside or maybe just some corrosion? I couldn't do much as it got dark and the snow started pouring down!! Any thoughts? mark |

lights are pretty simple to check out. just get the meter and start looking for problems.

do you have power to it? I have had some issues w/ the bayonet bulbs grounding. cleaned everything up with some emery cloth and applied some dielectric grease. good to go

Haven't had a chance to check...
Too much rain here, no garage, no way to check this out!
I will get my meter out and check for power to the bulb, then go from there. Yeah probably something simple I'm sure! mark |
