No sports cars, just big highway beasts. '

73 Pontiac Grand Prix, 400 cid, THM 400 slush box. It was a fast car that handled well. Ate Mustangs for breakfast, and could keep up with a corvette. All stock, no mods.

'70 Pontiac Bonneville ragtop. One of 3750 built. 455HD cid, THM 400 slush box. Boat of a car, great for straight line running, could not corner worth anything, but what do you expect from a car the length and width of a Suburban? I should have kept that one.

'77 Chevy Silverado 3/4 crew cab pick up.

'82 Ford EXP. What a POS. First and last FORD anything.

'88 Olds Calais two door "International Series," 2.4 liter quad 4. That was a fast, non turbo 4 banger.

Will be looking for a Dodge diesel p/u with in the next year or so, and a few more Benzes.

'97 Nissan P/U.

Then, my current stable.

Mostly Sportscars

I've had mostly sportscars. The TD was supposed to be a beater.I've always had one "good" car and one "beater". Here is a list of good.

65 Spitfire
71 Opel GT
61 Corvette
69 Datsun 2000
51 Chevy convertible
75 Jag powered by 400hp Chevy. Fun!
86 XJS V12.

The posted pic is of a car that I got to drive for a week. Awesome. My stepson caddies at the worlds most exclusive golf course. One of the members used to loan him exotic cars as a tip.

I have driven many sports cars, pretty new Porsche Carrera 4s Cab and MG have been the most enjoyable. The Porsche was fantastic, I'm in love!

After having the 4 door diesel Mercedes for going on 6 years I'll probably get something a bit more sporty next. I'd love a good GT car like a CL or SL.

Let's see...
My first car was a 1963 Corvair Monza convertible. It was pretty close to a sports car It was pretty fast and handled great. The tag line in the 1960's was "Corvairs eat Porsches"

After that I had muscle cars

1967 GTO convertible Ram Air 389

1971 Buick GS 455 Convertible Air Induction

1996 Impala SS LT1

Now I have the 300SDL -- A far cry from the Impala for sure.

I also have the 1984 BMW 528e, which is a good handling car, but not as fast as the others.

For a HS graduation present I was given a 1974 BMW 2002tii back in 1974. That is one I wish I still had. Otherwise it has been Toyotas and Hondas before the MB's.

hmmmm.... did you or do you drive sports cars....

yes.....

I remember a quote from Dr Ferry.... Don't quite remember exactly when, but he had said something like there was a very fine manufactuer of sedans already in Stuggart, that there would be no reason for Porsche to build a sedan.

Too Bad Dr WideA$$ did keep that opinion......

I owned TT 300zx turbo 240sx with skyline motors turbo supras and a couple of honda preludes

nothing like the feeling of a smooth ride in the benz but I would still take my 02 dodge cummins over the W124 anyday, I like that feel of I can kill you when I am in the dodge

'86 honda crx, huge POS., good riddance, was worse than the british cars, overall. Where are all the 20 year-old japanese autos? I have not seen one around here, ever. Today at post office there was a Thunderbird "turbo-coupe", I think it was an '84, no rust, and it's 10 degrees outside.
Thats my kind of 'sports car', you can rely on it!
Right here baby!!! Here is my almost 30 year old perfect condition (Japanese Car) Mazda RX-7. This car ALWAYS puts an incredible smile on your face everytime I fire it up and hear that wonderful rotary music!!!
