I'm going to test drive one when I have some free time.

Slate gray with the sport package, xenon lights, and a manual trans would be nice.

That is pretty amazing, more than twice the power with the same fuel economy than our Honda. Too bad it's $47,000!

Actualy I think BMW is using magnesium blocks now.

The trick with buying a new BMW is to order the base car, if you do that you don't get the BS like I drive and active steering. The only option you really want is the sport package.

aluminum blocks and heads are in most of todays cars which means you need to be a bit more careful when you work on them. But bmw is know to put in electronic gadgets that arent tested and the bugs arent worked out and those gadgets end up getting removed. For example they were the first with gasoline direct injection but the system had too many flaws and wasnt used agian because customers were the ones shelling out for the problems.

Wow the diesel is a lot more than the gas car!

I just built one on BMW's website and it came to $51,350! Thats E320CDI territory!

I paid extra for the leather and better paint, come on you have to! $1,150 for the cold weather package, up here heated seats are not an option, $2,150 for the sport package, which is a must on a 3, $350 for HD radio, $875 for the upgraded sound system, and $100 for the leather wrapped sport wheel with flappy padal shifters!

Damn I think a gas 335I would be the better deal here. Unless dealers are running some specials.

I have a friend who is into Diesel Trucks and BMWs....

He is going to wait a year or two and pick up a 335d.

Then, like his current BMW, its getting a CF hood, coilovers, etc.

You think thats bad.... My friend has a Dinan3 BMW.... The car was 52k, and then he spent another 26kish in more mods.... And its still getting work done to it.

To bad I'm a Home Depot, if I was a chump, I'd have that kind of trump to throw around on mods.

OTOH I'd probably just pick up a big mess.

Thats the only pic I can find of this BMW.

Its pretty sweet, and can take many corners at 3 digit speeds.
