86-89 should have the same connectors but you have to replace memory with memory and non memory with non memory.
It's not too difficult to transfer the seat cushion and seat back to a different track. It's not fun but not difficult. I have a set of seats out of a 92 300E in my 87 300D. The memory connectors from 90 are different so I transferred the 92 seat to my 87 memory track. I didn't have to change the non memory passenger side track. Plug - the original light gray leather seats of my 87 300D are still available! Sixto 87 300D |

I bought an '88 TE seat to put in my first '87 D, and the connection was different. I'm guessing '86 and '87 are the same only.

Early 90's W124 non-memory seat plugs were the same as '83 W126. Bottom seat mounting was different (easily modified) as was the seat base (modifiable but with slightly more difficulty).

Just change the seat cover and tune up the seat while you have it off. I found 2 broken springs in mine and some chaffed wires. I have a copy of the ************** seat book if you want to borrow it. Send me a PM. Uh-oh, I used a bad word. Mercede$$ource
