DS running lights dilemma

I have not had running lights for about 3 weeks on the DS. All other electricals are functioning.
I have replaced the fuse several times, even with a 20 amp fuse. All fuses blew immediately when running lights are turned on. I have reviewed the wiring but I cannot find any issues with the wiring.

Where to look next? What to do to remedy this issue?

DS = Driver's Side

I wired in E-Code's with City Lights and ran the City Lights off of the running lights, then wired the ground into the existing ground for the running lights. Perhaps some moisture got in there between the electrical tape or something. I will have to tear into it when I get a chance.

There is no relay that is involved in the operation of the running lights?

What running lights? The city lights, or did you also connect the corner lights?

Sounds like an aftermarket kit he bought. On cars with stock daylight running lights theres a relay.

Hella E-Codes with City Lights

Not an aftermarket kit.
Instructions were to run the city ights into the runnning lights so that when the running lights were on, the City Lights were on.
These are not designed to be run with a relay because I have not upgraded the lights to HID or upped the wattage.

So, to answer my ? - is there a relay for the running lights?
