Electrical Gremlin 82 coupe

It wouldn't start(or turn over) for my wife yesterday and I was home sick.
She tried jumping @ the block on the pass. side fenderwell and it
about knocked her on her assets......full battery voltage across those
2 posts.

I walked the mile or so out to get her, and I tried myself on the fenderwell
and it fired right up, drove home and parked it.

This A.M., I got the meter out and checked. Full voltage across those
2 posts again.

I unscrewed the wires and checked the seperately
White wire is showing no resistance to the positive, while
the red wire is showing continuity/infinite back and forth like
it was a blinker, very steady.

other work this week included a netrual safety switch and
repairs to vacuum line @ the cut off switch under dash.

Nothing smells like it is burning(thankfully) and I would like to keep it that
way..

Where do these wires go?
Any other help is appreciated
