Thanks Mercy! Here's a few pics:

So here it is. She ran great with no issues and got 24.4 mpg with me cruising at 85 mph most of the time. (daw, I added less than a quart of oil after the first 400 miles of the trip and never needed to add any again after the rest of the 700+ miles home. )

It needs a few minor details taken care of and a new paint job, but it's in great mechanical condition. Only 2 small, very treatable rust spots, and the interior is excellent with the exception of some warping of the center console.

daw included a bounty of parts with the car which I still need to photograph after I go through it all again. He was nice enough to take care of getting those new tires mounted before I got there too.

Here's the mileage after my 1100+ mile trip home:

Coda at her new home

OM603

I have the under dash panel but need to make some adjustments so I can screw it to the new dash which came from a 560 SEL.
My Pro detailer friend (Matt ) is sending me some leather dye to hide the minor scuffs and scratches. I can't wait to see it after the dye has been applied.

Take note of the new black Coco mats and rolltop console box. I mounted a Fischer cup holder inside the rolltop box too.

Here's my current lineup from shortest to longest.

Let me know how that leather dye goes, both of my cars have black leather, with a couple small cracks showing.

Thanks Bill. We enjoyed seeing you again too. Coda should be painted by the next time I see you.

It's from moisture condensing inside the cluster.

I don't know what it is. It looks like some kind of corrosion. I want to paint the cluster needles so I'll see if I can clean it off when I'm in there.

Very nice fleet you have there Mr. Forum Rockstar Chad!! {always my hero}
Everybody should get the chance to meet daw. He is good for our forum and just a fun guy to be around.
You are kind of like me: you married up too!
Love that black interior of Coda. My '95 may end up with those white dots as the interior fogs, especially inside of cluster. {no water leaks!}
Can't wait to see Coda after painting. A worthy car.
Keep the info/pics coming.....

Thanks, Jimmy.

Chad --- I got the box "made" last night with two window regulators (with motors) in it. I'll drop it off today. I forgot to tell you about that the steering wheel extends --- I hope you weren't sitting way up close to the steering wheel because I had the steering wheel pushed all the way in toward the dash. I've never seen so much room in the backseat. There's room enough for.......nevermind. It was a pleasure meeting you and the Mrs.; glad you had a safe trip. I hope the "rattle" of the passenger rear door panel wasn't too loud nor the ticking odometer. I normally did not notice those things at "cruising speeds".

Enjoy!

I just read through the entire thread again and found this.

Thanks Jimmy and I'll keep Coda's progress documented in this thread.

... and yes, I definitely married up.

I'll let you know when I get the box. The trip home was quiet. The odometer is silent over 40mph or so and the roads home were shockingly smooth. The panel only rattled a little bit over larger expansion joints in the road. I noticed a bit of a whistle that I think may be a loose u-tube. I need to check it out.

Thanks again daw! You've been a true gentleman through this entire experience and I'm honored to be Coda's new guardian.

In regards to the seat position ... I didn't realize that the steering wheel could extend, but I'm used to driving my wagon with child seats in the back so I actually had more room than I'm used to with that seat position. That and I'm like a full head shorter than you.

That might be useful even if just to get myself familiar with everything prior to removing Coda's cluster.

Thanks. I took it to show my mom last night and she acted like I bought it for her. She's never been so enthused about a vehicle before. I think she wants one but she's afraid of diesel. I'm going to tell her about the SELs.

I just realized that I still have those two aux. water pump plugs. I'll get them in the mail today. Sorry.
