Why does there appear to be a hole in the vac pump on the right?

Pick an answer:
  1. Trick photography.
  2. Your glasses need cleaning.
  3. Your vision is worse than mine.
  4. Cleaned the oil off in that spot.
  5. None of the above.
So, what did you think of my progress? I tried to get the transmission coolent lines on.....but could not find the new ones. I bet you a buffet lunch that I never ordered them.

You're putting in so much, I surely won't be able to afford it when you're done.

I hate to sound like a broken record.......
but....

Patience, grasshopper. Patience.

I'm starting to feel like I'm beating a dead horse. I think the young whipper snappers may need a lesson about time, patience, and good things. So, all your impatient, young whipper snappers get out your pens and paper pads (or iphones) and take notes. The lesson starts now:

Good things come to those who wait.

An old Mercedes diesel (especially a 300SDL) (like a fine wine) gets better with age.

Patience, grasshopper. Patience.

I have always been amazed at how well built our cars are. Every oil change gives me the opportunity to check everything out underneath my 86 sdl. But as I continue to read your adventures about Coda, my car must be getting jealous over all of the new things you are giving Coda. As I changed my oil on Sunday, I noticed one of my transmission cooler lines had sprung a leak. Luckily I had purchased two of them a few years ago in anticipation of this.
Enjoy these intimate times you are having with Coda. Don't rush getting everything done at once, because when you're finished with all of the repairs and updates, then what will you have to do? You will be bored, and then start looking for the next project. Then Coda will be jealous, and blow a head gasket........ HOPEFULLY NOT!!!
I enjoy reading your adventures and really appreciate the pictures which I use as a reference on my car!

intimate times with Coda? No, "she" only gets a certain amount of my attention. I won't be giving her my wife's Christmas gift (thinking of the GPS jewelry commercial).

Me, bored? That, John, is a very confusing question.

What will I do next? That's already been decided: Next ..... 1979 300SD

Speaking of pics....I should update this thread with some pics.
