Stubb Axles for 85 300SD
I have tried to find the stub axles for my 85 300SD and can't find them anywhere. On line or in a local junk yards. I haven't tried the Mercedes Dealer yet, but I expect they would be rather expensive there.
Any ideas? Thanks |

Go back in fast lane or All parts express above and look under 380SE, same car but gas engine. shows the rear axles. also the 500SEC uses the same one. It is strange there isn`t one for the SD, I have noticed this before.

What I am trying to find is the part that the axle in the photo in the previous post bolts to. This is the part of the rear axle assembly that connects to the differential. I thought I had seen it called the stub axle but I might be mistaken. All I see in Fastland and Allparts express is the half shaft axle.

ahh- As I see it, (on the 123 cars that I know) 2 types of axle shafts are used- homokenitic(both ends the same) and annular. (different ends). while different, they are interchangeable.
the annular units have a removeable end on them like you are referring. while this does not help you find your part, it may help other peeps understand what you're after. also you may be better off finding a complete axle. of course, I could be wrong.
