Squealing when cold and when heater is on?

My car has been squealing a little lately. It does this when it is cold out and accelerating around 10-25 mph. Only does it for a few minutes then stops.

When turning the heater on max it squeals the entire time. At idle and all the way through the power band.

When it squeals for a decent length of time you can sometimes smell a burnt rubber smell in the cabin.

Recently the car has been running around 100 C. While never overheating this is a little too hot for my liking.

I am going to try and tighten the alternator belt to see if it stops squealing but what is the likely hood of it being the water pump or fan clutch?

Also I have only had this car for about 4 months and only recently been driving it alot. It has a remanufactured radiator that the PO installed. Could this have anything to do with overheating? Maybe not the right radiator?

my car was recently squealing at around the same speeds. the noise stopped after i tightened the alternator belt. i'd check all the belts and make sure they were good. i don't know about that overheating though. i would definitely look into that before driving it too much. good luck.

Check the alternator belts. They also spin the waterpump. It soulds like loose belts at this point.

Depends on the heat mode you are in and the model of the car, but sometimes the AC engages in heat mode. If it is engaged, it could be the AC belt. More likely to be the alternator belt.

It was my alt belt that was squealing which also needed replacing.
