I would suggest research on the exact climatic conditions of the places where the oil palm produces well. A couple of years ago I saw big plantations of oil palms in Costa Rica, where they used to grow bananas. Also, does the palm oil need to be de-gummed? I've read that some vegetable oils need to be de-gummed.

climate wise I am ok for the palms. beyond that I am still researching. As the trees take 4-5 years to mature I have time to decide if its viable. I am going to start 50 seeds this year and maybe 50 more next and see how they do.

Ohhhhhhhh boy...

Fire in the hole!

Bummer about the cap, too. Add me to the confused column for replacement.

I agree with this logic. I try to habitually lock mine whenever I'm leaving it for any significant time period (more than 5 minutes when I'm out of sight) - and have never been broken into. I did accidentally leave it unlocked in the lot here at school last semester one day and two days later I went back and my GPS, radar detector, and iPod fm transmitter had walked away.

that sucks about your stuff, I generally dont carry anything. I wonder what my theif would have left if he was also stealing my radio? I heard a funny quote about a stolen GPS. he said "I hope that GPS takes him straight to hell, sound effects programming GPS, beep, beep, beep, destination hell, beep, beep, beep, destination hell"

My passenger door lock vacuum pod broke as I was showing JackG that some actually do work. from that point on the lock line has been disconnected. I dont think the gas lock worked even then, and I was thinking the gas door pod was not available anymore. Maybe I can make it manual from the trunk, or Ill just leave the autozone one on there to reduce the attractiveness of the cap.
The fuel door lock IS manual already. There's a metal arm/handle on the passenger side of the trunk that locks and unlocks it. Push forward to lock, Pull back to unlock. Then you don't have to worry about it.

Are they all like that? I never saw the handle in the trunk of my '84 - but then I didn't know to look for one either....

I see the little pin when I open the fuel door, but its pretty frozen up. I dont think I want to mess with it and end up getting it stuck locked.

Its not really possible to get it stuck, the assembly is quite tough. Its just a little metal pin.
