1984 300sd Front end suspension question
I need to replace the upper and lower control arms on the front end of my 84 300 sd. I am thinking about making my own spring compressor. I can borrow one from Autozone, but I plan to take my time. Does anyone have any good ideas on best way to make one? Thanks Jack

There's four of them in the rental pool. Why would you bother to make one?

Coil springs can remove your head quicker than a terrorist.

I got a clone from e-bay for about $100. After reading here, and doing this I would not do this work without the correct one.

why risk it - there is a lot of energy ready to explode
rent one off the forum
or Baum Tools makes a good one as well (I believe that's the flavor I have)
