It's cold in Houston tonight

1982 240D seems to like the cold air in Houston lately. Seems like an extra 10 horsepower. Is this the effect of a cold-air intake?

5 right now, going to be all of 0 tomorrow.

I'm not going to subject my car to that kind of abuse. When the whole car is stiff, it just isn't worth it to me.
I'll wait to drive it until Saturday, when it's back to normal temps!
Heck, I might not even go to work tomorrow (have to walk there, 20 minutes)

Houston has cold weather coupled with low altitude, high humidity, prolly under high pressure....you are feeling some nice extra oooomph!!!

I drove my supercharged Jag yesterday and lets just say the traction control was working double duty!!!

It,s -19F here in Cincinnati at 10:30pm. The wind has stopped - for the moment - and the snow is actually sticking.

Cold air has a higher oxygen content....better combustion. I notice it in my car too.
