I've found a '98 300SD for sale. What should I look for and what's it worth?

There's no such thing as a '98 300SD.

300SD's ended production 13 years earlier than that.

1978-1985 was the run for the 300SD

That correct, it was a trick question. Jmerc6 tore the head off his '91 300CE and maybe getting frustrated.

I think a 300SD Turbodiesel was produced from '92-'95
and only a 300SDL available in '86-'87

Unless its a '89 300SD that's what the ad says. I did previously own an '84 300SD. The head replacement is on a 300 CE.

Only diesel in 98 would have been the E300 (W210) with the 606.962 turbo engine.

From the picture in paper, it looks like a 300 SD. Do you think it's a '89? What's it worth?

How many miles? Whats the condition and the background of it?

Maybe he missed the 1 and the 1-5 in the number......and just got the middle numbers. Perhaps he meant something like "1983 300SD or something.

For $1,950.00 it sounds like a deal, whatever it is.
